Recruiting participants – Daily Activities and Well-being Study

 

You are invited to participate in a research study investigating the associations between daily activities and well-being. Participation involves a 1-hour in-person session and wearing an audio recording device for 8 hours a day for 4 days (2 weekdays and 2 weekend days). The in-person session will involve completing a breath counting task, looking at images of different facial expressions, and completing a survey about your mood, thoughts, well-being, feelings, and demographics. The in-person session should take around one hour and will be completed on the University of Connecticut Storrs campus or location convenient to you (e.g., home). The audio recording device is lightweight (3 oz.) and worn in a wallet. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to recordings and delete any recordings.

Participants will receive up to $120 for completing the study. Approval of this study is on file with the University of Connecticut IRB (Protocol H22-0165).

Criteria:

  • 18 or older
  • Fluent in English
